![]() It's Canada Day and... We're thrilled to be able to share some great news about the new Canadian Training: Kelowna Feldenkrais Teacher Training, starting June 7, 2020... The Kelowna Feldenkrais Teacher Training Program is now accredited by the North American Training Accreditation Board (NATAB). The reason this is a big deal is because all Feldenkrais Trainings must be approved by a regional accreditation board to ensure that the high standards of these trainings are being maintained all over the world. But what really has us excited is... ...the roster of excellent trainers we have secured for this training.
We've carefully selected our trainers to give you the very best training experience available. They come from a variety of backgrounds including martial arts, psychology, theatre, physiotherapy, athletics, dance, teaching and more. Their unique perspectives and styles offer beautiful ways of bringing forth the depth and richness of what the Feldenkrais Method has to offer. Their years of experience in teaching the method is enhanced by the fact that they've continued to maintain active practices with a wide range of clientele. Keeping their personal practices alive with public clients keeps their questioning, challenges, and learning relevant and ongoing. This will inspire and support your learning in myriad ways while enabling you to explore your own unique style as you develop your understanding and skill in the Feldenkrais Method. The full roster of trainers besides our Educational Director, Julie Peck, includes:
On another very exciting and immediate note.... There's going to be some great practical and engaging material coming your way starting in the next couple weeks! We've got a series of Awareness Through Movement® lessons planned for you. Our core team (Julie, Alice, Sandra, Rob and myself) will be recording and giving you access to the lessons online. Not only that... ...you’ll also get to hear a short 5-10 minute talk a few days after each lesson, to give you actionable insights into the most crucial aspect of the Feldenkrais Method in a way that will help you….
You can expect an email every few weeks that will contain your link to an Awareness Through Movement lesson, followed by a second email a couple days later with a link to the short discussion that fleshes out the goodness that's embedded in the lesson. In the meantime, I'd like to ask two things of you:
