Preparing your computer or tablet

The link you will use for the workshop will be emailed to you.

The live discussion will be using an application (app) called Zoom -- or your telephone.
Problems? In Canada or USA, call Rob Black (403) 680-2908. Unfortunately Rob will not be able to help you with technical problems once the webinar starts.
Zoom requires some preliminary set-up, which can be as short as 3 minutes, but sometimes takes longer. I recommend you do the set-up at least an hour before the meeting starts to reduce any possibility of snafu's.
Different computers have different set-ups. Here are some examples:
On a computer (PC or Mac)
Clicking the link will bring you to this information screen, giving you three options.
Your options:

1. If you see the "system dialog" as a pop-up, you will be prompted to download the app. Generally this takes less than a minute. On a PC, you may see a little message at the bottom of the screen, something like "are you sure you want to save this?" click yes. It is safe. Then RUN it.
2. Line 2: If you don't see the "system dialog" click the "click here" --- or click the "download & run Zoom".
3. Line 3: If you cannot download... click Join from your browser.

On a Tablet of smartphone:

1. Go to the App store(apple) or Google Play (Android/Samsung devices )
2. Search for the app, Zoom.us
3. Install (it is free)
